What is MAPSource?

MAPSource™ is a Publisher of  map products for the Gulf Coast geographic region.
We are also a retailer of a wide variety of map products useful to private citizens, business, and government. 
Many of these products are on display in our retail locations in Tampa,
Orlando, Largo and Pensacola, FL, and at New Orleans Map Co. in Slidell, LA.

With more than 35 titles, MAPSource™ is the leading publisher of street atlases in the Southeast.  
Twenty titles are under development, with publication scheduled in the next 10-12 months.

MAPSource™ also is a leading publisher of custom folding maps in the Southeast.
These custom maps are published for a wide variety of businesses, but especially for 
realty offices, developers and county elections supervisors.

Ninety per cent of the map products published by MAPSource™ are sold to local business and local government.

Who is MAPSource?

Nearly two centuries of map publishing experience are brought to the table when MAPSource publishes a map.  None of our people were around in Mercator's time, but we at MAPSource all respect our mapmaking heritage - before and after Mercator.  Four persons on the MAPSource staff of 30 persons have been making maps for more than a quarter century each!  This experience is a major benefit to customers of MAPSource.

Our Cartagraphic Lineage:
Four MAPSource staffers are former Rand McNally employees. One was a cartographic manager. One was a data supervisor; Two were cartographers; Rand McNally, of course, is the best known name in the world of map-publishing.
Three MAPSource staffers are former employees of Sunbelt Maps, a pioneer in digital cartography
that published millions of maps for AAA in the late 1980s and early '90s. One was publisher, one was cartographic manager, and one was a cartographer.

Who uses MAPSource Products?

Products published by MAPSource are sold to retail customers in MAPSource's state-of-the-art showroom in Largo/St. Petersburg , Tampa, Pensacola, Orlando, FL.  and New Orleans Map  in Slidell, La. 
St. Petersburg location of our corporate office and houses our  completely self-contained publishing, printing and binding facility containing the latest computerized publishing technology.  
All  MAPSource retail showroom facilities also sell map products from other publishers.

MAPSource continually seeks to contract with distributors for our line of detailed folding maps.

MAPSource is uniquely capable of publishing the following customized map products:
- Detailed street atlases for sale to local business and local government agencies.
- Detailed street folding maps for auto clubs, chambers of commerce, banks and Realtors
- Detailed street service/delivery area maps for church, pizza delivery and business
